Before moving to EM, Mike was the editor of Onstage, a magazine for performing musicians. Before that, he was the executive editor of Home Recording, and senior editor at Guitar magazine.
Mike is also an author, and has five books published. For his latest project, he co-wrote the Warren Haynes Guide to Slide Guitar with Haynes, guitarist for the Allman Brothers and Govâ??t Mule.
Mikeâ??s music background has given him a wealth of experience to draw on. His experience in music production has enabled him to produce and record the CDs that accompany his instruction books. (He produced Warren Haynes and the musicians from Govâ??t Mule in the sessions for the CD accompanying the aforementioned Haynes book.)
Most of Mikeâ??s book and magazine work has thus far been music related, but he has also written about such diverse subjects as pro basketball and Internet retailing.
