Mike--who plays guitar, pedal steel, dobro, and mandolin--is a session player, live performer, and composer. He's performed with such artists as Sarah Evans, Tanya Tucker, and Vassar Clements, and has played on numerous commercials and on TV shows for ABC, CBS, and HBO. He was in the orchestra of the Broadway musical The Will Rogers Follies.
His compositions have appeared on commercials for Lysol, Advil, All, Days Inn, and many other products; as well as on CNN and The History Channel. His first solo CD, Electrocoustic Rootsgrass was released in 2007. He's working on a new CD, and hopes to release it by late 2010.
Mike is currently in two bands, the Reticents (http://www.myspace.com/thereticentsnewjersey), a rock band in which he plays electric guitar, and Sarlin/Levine/Ganz (http://www.myspace.com/sarlinlevineganz), an acoustic instrumental trio in which he plays dobro and mandolin.
During the day, Mike is the editor and senior media producer of Electronic Musician magazine.
